Working with Inkscape on the Mac
For those among us whose language includes fancy things like accents, and, in general characters outside of the basic 26 latin letters:
Inkscape does not like at all saving some files when some folders in the path have accents and the like in their names. For instance, it will stop working when trying to save an openoffice open document in a folder called "/User/rosmord/Documents/Hiéroglyphes/Groupe A", because of the "é" in "Hiéroglyphes".
It's quite likely that this bug will be fixed quite soon (apparently, there is no bug for saving SVG files). Meanwhile, avoid accents in your folder names. Sorry for this. (well I wouldn't have discovered the bug on my own: as most computer scientists, I do avoid accents and spaces in file names like plague).
