Dear users,
I have been working on a new version of JSesh for some time now. Normally, you won't notice much change, but internally the code has been modified to ease future evolutions (things will be quite different if you use JSesh as a library, but I will write a separate document about it).
As the changes have been numerous, I need brave users to try the new version. Currently, I have only built the Mac version, but in a few weeks, the Windows version will be available.
Visible changes are:
- you can select the language of the user UI of JSesh (open preferences/other and you can set the language there; you need to quit and restart JSesh for it to take effect);
- Arabic version of JSesh thanks to M. Hany Zarif;
- producing translations of JSesh will be easier now;
- fixed a bug in SVG export which caused ecdotic signs not to be drawn correctly when rotated;
- the distributions are automatically created, and we have now two versions of the Macintosh, one for Intel and one for Apple Silicon (M1, M2, etc.).
You can download the beta version here.
It's a beta. I have changed a lot of things, and bugs are expected. Consider that you are testing the system if you use it. I'd suggest that you keep a backup of all documents you would edit with it.
